NCC AIMS
The aims of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) are to develop character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, a spirit of adventure, and the ideals of selfless service among the youth. It also aims to create a pool of organized, trained, and motivated youth with leadership qualities to serve the nation, while providing an environment to encourage them to join the armed forces.

NCC BENEFITS
NCC benefits include enhanced career opportunities in armed forces and government services, personal development through leadership and discipline training, and participation in adventure activities and cultural exchanges. Cadets also receive practical skills, financial benefits during training, and preference in recruitment processes for various uniformed services.

  • Preference in the armed forces: NCC cadets get preference in recruitment for the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
  • Government job preference: There is preference for NCC cadets in the recruitment for many central and state government jobs, police services, and paramilitary forces.
  • Bonus marks: Cadets receive bonus marks in UPSC and State PSC exams.
  • Direct SSB interview: Holders of the highest-level NCC certificate are eligible for a direct SSB interview.
  • Industry preference: Some industries also give preference to NCC certificate holders.
  • Leadership and discipline: NCC instills leadership, discipline, time management, and teamwork.
  • Physical fitness: Training promotes physical fitness and an interest in adventure sports.
