Cultural Activities

Social/ Cultural activities not only help students to identify themselves with their institutions but also assist them to develop their potential and creativity in the desired field and also improve skills such as organizational presentations, leadership, and interpersonal communication.

The Culture Society of G.D.G.C. aims to encourage students’ interest, participation and responsibility by providing social, cultural and recreational activities for the College community. Culture Society offers various with ban aim to give students an opportunity to demonstrate and develop their talent in the fields of music, dance and other fields of culture, giving a boost to their physical and mental health. Cultural Society in the college is working since its beginning. Students participate in cultural programmes at Zonal, Inter-Zonal at state level to demonstrate their creative supremacy. Large number of students participates annually in cultural various cultural programs at district, state and national levels. Participation in the cultural activities brings an individual a host of personal benefits. It impact is always deep, wondrous, and great.

 

N.C.C

The college has N.C.C Unit. The unit comprises of 54 cadets. Regular parades are held twice a week. Cadets are also encouraged to participate in other activities organized under NCC such as special training camps, tours and Republic Day parades & other group activities. Best cadets are honoured on the occasion of Annual Awards Day held in the college.

N.S.S.

MOTTO- "Not me But You"

The college has two units of N.S.S. seats being limited, volunteers are enrolled on the basis of first come, first served basis. Class allocation of seats is 35 from each class. However, the number of class wise seats are inter changeable at the discretion of the Principal.

Objectives:

  • To enrich the student’s personality and deepen their understanding of social environment in which they live.
  • To develop socio-economic awareness and encourage the students to spread the same to the illiterate community of the area adopted.
  • To develop socio-economic activities designed to tackle social problems.
  • To appreciate "dignity of labor".

Incentives:

  • Additional 5% marks in aggregate for seeking admission to higher class after graduation.
  • Job opportunities to serve as social worker after graduation in Social Work/Social Sciences.
